Titanium Cookware on Induction: Check the Base, Not Just the Name

2026-09-23

“Titanium” in a cookware name is not enough information to decide whether that item belongs on your induction hob. Before ordering, match the exact pan's documented construction and compatibility to the instructions for the hob you own.

This guide is a purchase-check method. It does not certify any AVINOTI item as induction-compatible or recommend an improvised way to make an incompatible pan work.

Why the base matters

Bosch's induction cookware guidance explains that induction requires magnetic cookware material and notes that a magnetic layer in the base can matter. Its guidance also describes a magnet test. That is general guidance, not confirmation of the construction or suitability of a specific pan.

Do not turn a material name into a complete construction diagram. Ask which part of the product the description refers to and whether the maker explicitly approves the exact item for induction. If the answer only repeats the title, the compatibility question remains open.

Match two sets of documentation

Write down the hob model and the cookware model. For the hob, find the requirements for suitable cookware and the relevant cooking zone. For the pan, seek its supported heat sources and the base dimensions needed to compare with those requirements.

Do not use the widest rim measurement as an assumed base measurement. If the listing provides only one diameter, ask what was measured. The same applies to a general photograph: a view of the underside does not, by itself, establish every material layer or operating limit.

InformationWhere to verify it
Exact pan identityListing, packaging or maker's documentation
Approval for inductionInstructions for that particular cookware item
Relevant base dimensionsA clearly defined measurement, not an assumed rim size
Hob requirementsYour own hob model's manual
Unanswered pointA written model-specific response from the appropriate supplier

Avoid trial-and-error purchases

If documentation conflicts, stop the comparison and ask for clarification. Do not heat an empty pan, modify a base or add an adapter simply to resolve a missing answer. An accessory can have its own compatibility requirements; it is not an automatic solution.

Review the AVINOTI frying pan listing with the model-specific questions above. No induction approval is implied by linking to it.

Keep the final decision narrow: this documented pan and this documented hob, under their applicable instructions. That avoids both assuming all titanium-labelled cookware works on induction and rejecting a product solely because of a broad material label.
